Not everyone with a drone is legal to offer drone related services.
Use of a drone for commercial purposes such as photography, videography, mapping, real estate and other marketing is strictly forbidden by the FAA unless the operator has either a Section 333 waiver, or holds a current Remote Pilot certificate. OAS has both.
Working with less than legal operators puts not only the drone pilot at criminal and financial risk, but also the client hiring the drone operator. When looking for a drone pilot to provide you with drone related services, the phrase Caveat Emptor, or buyer beware, is of great relevance. It is not difficult to determine if a drone pilot is legal. And like all good businesses, they should carry liability insurance.
